    Financial investigations - Two-day working meeting with financial experts was held

    (Sarajevo, December 4, 2019) – The High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council (HJPC BIH) through IPA 2017 ''Building an Effective and Citizen-friendly Judiciary'', financed by European Union, held a two-day working meeting of financial experts, employed in 10 BiH prosecutor's offices.
     
    The purpose of the two-day working meeting, organised through project activity to strengthen prosecutorial offices for conducting financial investigations in commercial crime cases and related cases, was to exchange experience and best practices.
    During the meeting, financial experts presented their work on economic crime cases through case studies and discussed about their advisory role within the selected prosecutor offices.

    Representatives of the EU4Justice Project presented the issues they are working on and discussed with the participants the possibilities of cooperation. The synergy between the two EU projects is very important in order to achieve the best possible results in the work of the prosecutor's offices.

    At the end of the meeting, participants concluded that regular joint meetings facilitate their work on corruption, economic and organized crime cases, and announced a follow-up meeting for the coming year.
